Introduction

M&S Energy supplies energy to their customers through SSE, which is one of the ‘big six’ energy companies in the UK.

One of the newer energy companies only dating back to 2017, M&S claims to want to provide 100% renewable energy to their customers sourced from hydroelectricity farms in Scotland.

Recently, M&S Energy announced that the partnership between them and SSE is coming to an end in September of 2018 after a mutual decision between the two companies.

Instead, M&S are going to be forming a new relationship with Octopus Energy, which is one of the highest rated suppliers in the UK, having a stellar 5-star rating on Trustpilot.

Costs and Fees

M&S only offers a few tariffs, dependent on whether you are on Economy 7 or Economy 10.

This may change when M&S partner up with Octopus energy, and current customers getting their energy through SSE will be able to make a choice regarding who they want their power to be provided by when that happens.

Negative M&S Energy Review

Gary Wilde on Trustpilot:

Contracted with M&S Energy a year or two go as they came out one if the cheapest on a comparison website. Once your initial contract period is up, however, they massively increase your price. Just realised and now moved supply to another more competitive provider which will be £350 a year cheaper than M&S.
