If you’re anything like a lot of us, you’re probably a bit jaded with social media and social networks, and couldn’t give a fig about funny cat videos, clickbait titles, “Which character are you?” quizzes, silly memes, or manufactured outrage. If that’s the case, you might be looking for a social network with a loftier aim than garnering “Likes” on selfies and getting lots of views of the pics of your last meal.
There’s a new kid on the social networking block, but instead of focusing on the meaningless fluff of modern media, it intends to be an “action-oriented social network for social good,” where individuals, social entrepreneurs, and organizations can connect to usher in a “new internet philosophy”. According to Horyou, the platform is a place “where noble ideals become actions and social media is at the service of all.”
Horyou is planning an event for creative visionaries this fall, and the team is looking for innovative ideas:
